About Us

Upon my return home in 2007. I decided to start my practice based at the Pandya Memorial Hospital and registered it as Coast Cardiac Centre. This was the first one-stop fully-equipped non-invasive cardiac diagnostic facility within Mombasa county. We opened the doors of Coast Cardiac Centre in August 2009 graciously inaugurated by my parents and since then we have not looked back in terms of enhancing and providing our services to the people of Mombasa and its environs. We also see many patients from as far as Tanga and Moshi in Tanzania. We started this facility with myself as the cardiologist along with one receptionist and one subordinate staff. I later engaged an echocardiographer and over the years, I must admit that we have progressed well and today I am proud to say that we have three clinicians in the clinic, myself with Dr. Aarif Varvani as a trained Physician and Dr. Shazim Bagha as a Medical Officer who also doubles up is our main Echocardiographer having undergone some formal training in Ahmedabad, India. We also have two nurses who are now well trained to carry out some of these non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests for example the Exercise Stress Test, 24-hour Holter monitor, 24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure monitor, 12-lead ECG, Spirometry, Pacemaker Interrogation and we shall soon be introducing sleep study. Our staff force also includes a messenger/cleaner, front office receptionist, accountant and clinic manager totaling nine members of staff currently.

We are indeed proud to be associated with most Medical facilities within the Mombasa County, as well as some corporate clientele.

Success of Coast Cardiac Centre cannot be over emphasized and most importantly the support of the community at large together with my fellow colleagues, our dedicated and hard-working staff, and of course, the blessings of the Almighty and particularly all my family members who have stood by me through thick and thin to make me the person I am today in the society.
